36/365 - Movie Night

Friday night has increasingly become "social night" for Erica and her group of friends, who manage to attend some sort of gathering together. Tonight, the venue was the movie theatre, even with the snow storm and opening day crows. They went to see "Dear John" and each admitted to crying during the movie.

10.02.05 - Movie Night

I felt fortunate that we have a 4 wheel drive SUV with tonight's snow accumulation and subsequent blowing and drifting. I drove out to the horse stables in the Toyota Corolla, and nearly ended up in the ditch! Winter is certainly still with us.

Weekly Gratitude - My Daily Cup

The Gratitude Theme for February is Soul.

What is good for your soul? How do you take time to replenish your soul? How do you take time for yourself? This month is dedicated to those little things that lift your soul a teeny tiny bit (or maybe a lot)
.

This week, I'm grateful for my daily cup of coffee - it is something that I enjoy, is something just for me.
Gratitude - My Daily Cup

Adherence to the monthly theme is purely optional, the main goal with these weekly challenges is to focus on gratitude. If you want to join in, check out Weekly Gratitude

35/365 - Toss It In the Air

Calzone night means lots of fun with the pizza dough.

10.02.04 - Toss It In the Air

Brian and Erica get their own piece of dough and they choose how to form it. Brian tossed his dough, then formed it into his signature "buck tooth" shape. Erica created a dolphin.

And we ate it all.

33/365 - Civic Duty

I fulfilled my civic duty today by voting. This is the first time I have voted in a Primary - I guess in previous years, I never saw the point. But with all the turmoil in Government these days, I want my voice, my vote to count.

10.02.02 - Civic Duty

I added a fake TTV (through the viewfinder) texture to the picture - Jerry at ShadowHouse Creations offers free textures at his site.

32/365 - Hallway Welcome

aka, Brian's idea of decorating the foyer when he gets home from school:

10.02.01 - Foyer Decor

Do I see triangular placement of his "stuff" on the throw rug? Or is it just random? All I know is this is what greets me every day when I get home from work.
